Let Us Give Thanks and Praise!

Scripture readings:

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know the Lord is God!
It is he that made us and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!

For the Lord is good:
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

(Psalms 100)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, Rejoice. Let all know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-9)

Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

What are your thanks and praises?

Let’s see now… Ummm, I’m thankful that I am a late bloomer. I’m living in the time of last part of the 20th century and I can see society changes, some quick, some not so quick and some that are at the pace of a snail on dry land. I’m thankful for being able to explore my heritage and put them into my life. I’m alive and walking among my fellow beings, sharing my talents, my life, my rai’son du vivre. I’m grateful to God for guiding and guarding me at the lowest point of my life and sending me those that will help me rise so that I too can turn around and help those who are like me in past.

Things I praise God for:

The beauty of a starry night sky. The squirrels that scampers up a tree. The sparrows that chirps out in the early morn. The people, young and old, diverse as they are, adding spice to life. The food that I eat, The music that I can still hear and feel. The warmth of another person’s arms around me when I feel sad or happy. The feeling of a whole gamut of emotions.

In short, I praise God for LIFE!!!
