Musings on Gay Marriage

Allie Jo Conkle

It's hard enough
to find affection in this lonely world. It's cold outside -
and inside, sometimes,
cold and dark and hard, and love is hard to come by.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
admit impediment!
May God forgive our loves -
but likely He finds unloving grates Him more:
there is no lack of hate, which stands condemned
in every Bible.

But if you call it sin, there must be sins more worthy of perdition
than different ways of loving.
