Whosoever was founded in 1996 to serve as a voice and a resource for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Christians. Back then there was little, if any, support to be found for LGBT Christians not just on the Web but in print. All Christian magazines like Christianity Today and Moody’s took pot shots at LGBT people constantly. Editor Candace Chellew-Hodge, with more than 20 years experience in the media, started the magazine as a print edition, which lasted for four issues. She then moved the magazine to the Web where it has been ever since.
More than 500,000 people visit the site each year and many write to say how the magazine has either changed or literally saved their lives.
Whosoever has been on the cutting edge of the LGBT movement for acceptance in both church and society and with this blog opens up another avenue for LGBT people of faith to stay updated on the news affecting their lives. We hope you enjoy it and will contribute your thoughts and comments.
